WHAT?

Clothing swaps are a way to recirculate your unwanted clothing locally and refresh your wardrobe by shopping your community members donations. The donated items will be for shop-able on March, 21st location TBA. We are accepting items you would still wear but maybe have been out of rotation for awhile. All Genders, shapes and sizes will be accepted (and encouraged!). The pop-up with be open to the public!

HOW?

You drop off your you clean, unwanted clothing items to drop off at Mend Mother's Studio. We sort them, organize them, price, and tag them for resale on March 21st. Donated items will be priced ranging $2-$30 with some special cases. Those who donate will receive a $10 voucher. 15% of proceeds will be donated to Raleigh Mutual Aid Hub. The rest will go toward Mend Mother operations.

WHY?

"For every 5 preloved items bought, 3 displace new purchases – resulting in a displacement rate of 64.6%" (WRAP, 2025).
Billions of pounds of clothing and textiles are sent to the landfill every year. Non-profits like Salvation Army sort unimaginable amounts of donations and export donated goods over seas to be someones else's responsibility.....
Intentional donation and hyper-localized recirculation gives you unwanted items a second life.
