Upcycling Workshop at Raleigh Denim

Up-cycling with Raleigh Denim scraps

Guests will be given materials to create hand sewn up-cycled projects, such as small decorative pillows or charms created from simple shapes. The demonstrations in this workshop would focus on hand sewing skills such as a blanket stitch, chain stitches, and a back stitch.  There would also be the opportunity of an educational element for why it is important to find uses for cut & sew scraps, and how production of cut & sew goods often results in many off cut scraps.
